In 1992 I was invited to exhibit in two rooms at the Kunsthaus Zug. I had spent the previous year as a fellow at the Cité des Arts, where I assembled found material into collage-like objects for a large number of the Hangings.

Fascinated by the unfamiliar shapes of hooks and screws in the Bazar de l'hôtel de Ville (BHV) in Paris, I developed joints and connectors into form-defining elements of hanging sculptures. The concept of ‘hanging’ made it possible to connect any materials together and, beyond that, to reflect on suspension. In later works, three-dimensional collages and the relationship between sculpture and wall are repeatedly addressed.
